The Rapture - for the record

It has been claimed that I teach "no rapture". Also I have been called a post tribber. Neither of these is true. I teach the simple truth that the catching up of the saints in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air will happen at the coming of the Lord as that timing is given in the passage (verse 15). I teach the simple truth that the saints in the body of Christ will receive the adoption, the redemption of our body at the time when pre trib rapture theorists believe the 'rapture' will happen. Obviously, the rapture does not happen until the coming of the Lord. I do not teach that the rapture will happen at the end of the 'tribulation'. I am not sure exactly when the tribulation starts and ends. And neither are you. The time of Jacob's trouble is a one year time period. Daniel's 70th week is seven years. "To bring in everlasting righteousness" is one of the purposes or accomplishments of the 70 weeks determined upon Israel according ...

The Time (Length) of Jacob's Trouble - For the Record

The Time of Jacob's Trouble - For the Record The word tribulation is in 22 bible verses. In the verses used to support giving a time period a non scriptural name, focus is on the word tribulation and the actual time period in the verses is ignored. Deuteronomy 4:30  When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; This is the first occurrence of the word tribulation in the bible. If you read the whole verse, you should notice that the only way to make the word tribulation the name of a time period is to ignore the time period "the latter days" right there in the verse. Judges 10:14  Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. By comparing this verse to Jeremiah 30:7, you can conclude that the "time of your tribulation" and the "time of Jacob's trouble" are equal and...

Scriptural Terminology 001

"Those who have once committed themselves to an erroneous Theory, seem to be incapable of opening their to the untrustworthiness of the fabric they have erected, even when it comes down in their sight, like a child's house built with playing-cards,---and presents to every eye but their own the appearance of a shapeless ruin." [Dean John William Burgon] The standard teaching in prophecy, including all rapture theorists; post-tribbers, mid-tribbers, and pre-tribbers, is that "the Tribulation" is a seven year period of time, also known as Daniel's 70th week and the time of Jacob's trouble. Tribulation is never used as a name for a time period in the Bible. Daniel's 70th week and the time of Jacob's trouble are not the same time period, nor the same amount of time. Deuteronomy 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his vo...
